Vacancies

You'll have a great time with us - it's lots of fun. You can share your hobbies, use the expertise you have gained from work and even help to teach the children the everyday things like learning to cook, house and car maintenance, or - we all have a vast array of skills that will be of interest to young people.

Group Scout Leader

We currently have an Acting GSL appointed by District.  If anyone has management skills and would prefer to work mainly adults and then picking and choosing when and where to get involved with the youth sections this if the perfect role for you.  Take a look at the role description page for what it involves. Use our enquiry form if this interest you (you are under no obligation by making this enquiry).

Beaver Section Leader

We have two Beaver Colonies.  Currently they are both run by the same volunteer.  It would be fantastic if we had another volunteer willing to take on the running of one of the Colonies. We envisage that the Leaders would work closely together and run the same programme each week.  So in theory one leader could organise one weeks activity and share, and the other leader do the following week.  The shared programming and organising will mean there is a lot less work involved in purely being a section leader of one Colony. Take a look at the role description page for what it involves. Use our enquiry form if this interest you (you are under no obligation by making this enquiry).

Assistant Beaver Leaders

With Beavers being the youngest age group, a lot of supervision and help is needed. We have a long waiting list for Beavers, so if we can get more volunteers to come forward and help it mean more young people will be able to enjoy the benefits that Scouting provided. If you want to be involved but not have too much responsibility, this could be the role for you. Take a look at the role description page for what it involves. Use our enquiry form if this interest you (you are under no obligation by making this enquiry).

Assistant Cub Leaders

We have two Cub Packs run by two great volunteers. They need help though.  Currently they are running with either one or no assistants meaning that other leaders from Beavers and Scouts have to help.  This is not ideal and also doesn't provide a stable environment for the children.  If we had two assistant leaders per Cub Pack it would mean the other leaders can concentrate of their Sections, that they could stay open when the leaders take holiday with their family or if work commitments mean they cannot make it. We would also be able to increase the numbers in each section too, meaning more young people can get involved in Scouting. Take a look at the role description page for what it involves. Use our enquiry form if this interest you (you are under no obligation by making this enquiry).

Beaver and Cub Section Assistants or Occasional Helper/Parent

If you want to be involved in the Beaver or Cub Section, but don't want too much responsibility or to wear uniform , then these are the roles for you. Ideally we would like two  assistants/helpers for each section. Take a look at the role description page for what it involves. Use our enquiry form if this interest you (you are under no obligation by making this enquiry).

Group Executive Committee

If management or fundraising is more your thing, then why not be part of the committee.  Just five meeting a year (plus a social) this could the perfect way for you to be involved in the Scout Group. Take a look at the role description page for what it involves. Use our enquiry form if this interest you (you are under no obligation by making this enquiry).
